major international sellers and distributors of
PC hardware and software now accept A+ as the standard
for entry level, vendor-neutral certification (not
limited to only one product or company) for service
technicians and help desk personnel. Once you have
completed this course and passed your A+ certification
you will be able to demonstrate that you have a
broad base of knowledge and competency in core hardware
and operating system technologies including installation,
configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance
and basic networking. A+ certification is also the
perfect foundation for further training leading
to a wide range of challenging careers in information
technology such as System Administration, Web Administration,
or Network Support and Administration. |

What You'll Need |
Ideally you will have already
have experience in PC hardware/software or have
been working for approximately six months in a Help
Desk/Support role.
System Requirements: The
minimum PC system requirements (not suitable for
Apple computers) for our CD-ROMs are: 486DX2 66MHz
CPU; Windows 95 or later with a Microsoft compatible
mouse; at least 65MB RAM; a SVGA monitor with
at least 1MB video RAM running at 800x600 resolution
(minimum) (256 colours); 2x speed CD-ROM (minimum);
For audio: MCP compliant sound card with speakers
or headphones.
